What This Course Is
This course is for students, painters, collectors, and spiritually curious artists who want to learn the methods and meaning behind sacred image-making. Grace teaches technique and also rhythm, reverence, discipline, observation, patience, and the courage to develop your own artistic voice.

Foundations of Sacred Painting
Begin with the purpose and posture of sacred art: intention, image selection, symbolic language, drawing preparation, panel awareness, and developing a calm studio rhythm.
Module 2
Egg tempera
Learn the luminous ancient medium of egg tempera: mixing, layering, transparent color, highlights, edges, flesh tones, garment passages, and disciplined mark-making.
Module 3
Gold Leaf & Gilding
Study gold leaf application for halos, sacred accents, backgrounds, and decorative detail, including surface preparation, handling leaf, burnishing considerations, and design integration.
Module 4
Brush Techniques
Practice line, hatch, float, glaze, dry brush, transitions, edges, highlights, and the small controlled movements that bring faces, hands, garments, and symbols to life.
Module 5
Earthen Mineral Pigments
Discover color from the earth: grinding, mulling, wetting, tempering, testing, and learning the personality of natural mineral pigments.
Module 6
Finishing, Presenting & Speaking About the Work
Learn how to refine a finished piece, write about it clearly, price or document it, photograph it, label it, and present it with dignity.
